I House – Sinca Veche, Brasov

The building is located in the center of a traditional Romanian village, surrounded by houses and large courtyards full of vegetation.

The 'I House' project is both externally and internally an expression of a contemporary style.

The interior was designed to bring a pleasant feeling of calmness, freshness and plenty of light through the big windows on the South side of the building. The terrace was designed to bring both shadow on sunny days and shelter on rainy days.

The building volume stands apart from the houses around the village through its clean shape, color palette and style.
The main objective was to redefine the entire space through a modern approach to the style and functionality of the house, using minimalist finishes and a color palette with contrasting tones. From the outside, the future home presents simple, geometric shapes, with white providing clarity and an airy appearance.

For a unique visual interest, we included the wooden elements on the side of the structure, which serve both an aesthetic and supportive function. We wanted to keep the overall shape of a traditional house but give the place a new character through contemporary elements.

Inside, the house thrives on an interesting mix of warm and cool tones and various materials, including wood, stone, and concrete.

The living room's focal point is a wood-burning fireplace with glass in the corner, offering an ultra-modern look and personality. Bright lighting also helps create an intimate family space by highlighting specific areas and decorative objects in each room.
